Laura McIntyre NP

I’m the owner and creator of Rise Medical Aesthetics. As a Registered Nurse since 2006, I’ve been doing a variety of injections for over 15 years.  As I’ve begun to do medical aesthetics, facial injections have been a natural extension of my already well established practice and I’m looking forward to providing different medical aesthetic treatments as our clinic expands. I am excited to be working alongside very knowledgeable and talented Nurses to provide therapeutic and cosmetic injectable treatments, as well as microneedling, chemical peels, and skin care consultations.

In addition to launching Rise Medical Aesthetics, I completed my Master’s in Nursing, Nurse Practitioner Degree in 2019 and worked a half-time position at the Nexus Primary Care Clinic in Nanaimo, as a Family Nurse Practitioner until 2023.  I am passionate about advanced nursing practice and developing the profession towards a more holistic healthcare model and I've extended this philosophy into my medical aesthetics practice to deliver comprehensive care to all of my patients.

I’m an Island Girl and Nurse at heart and I envisioned Rise Medical Aesthetics as a space where my community could come together in wellness. I feel truly privileged to be a part of the team at Rise and it's a pleasure to witness my team's passion and dedication to medical aesthetics and delivering life-changing treatment results to our patients.
